Crowds and shopping!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't believe its after five already! This day has flown by! I had an early visit this morning and then had to drop off some papers to another family. After that I ran by the mall and picked up a couple of Christmas presents for Roy. Then, ran by wal-mart to pick up a stouffers meatloaf for dinner and came home. I was on the phone for about an hour trying to get some meetings scheduled (pain in the butt!!!!!!!!), visited with Annie for awhile and now I'm back home! I have a bunch of paperwork preparation to do for Danville tomorrow but I can do that while I'm watching Biggest Loser tonight :).
Had to kick Roy out of my office earlier :-) I told him not to go back there until I had his presents wrapped, and while I was returning some calls he forgot and just burst in to tell me something! I just looked at him and said get out and he slowly backed away (ha!!!). He didn't see anything, I just like giving him a hard time. Only a couple more presents for him, then we're done!
Speaking of Roy, he took the last part of his final exam last night (he's been studying for it for a few weeks because it was given in sections) and got an A on it!!! He's so happy to be done for the semester. I'm very proud of him!
I love Christmas shopping, but I am very irritable with the other shoppers. People can be so loud and inconsiderate. I thought the crowds wouldn't bother me so much going in the middle of the day, but I was amazed by the amount of people (of all ages) out and about at 10:30. My pet peeve (especially in Wal-Mart 'cause they make the aisles so damn small to fit more merchandise in) is when people just wander, or stand in the middle of the row having a conversation. So rude!!! Also, continuing in the area of "rude" two of the times I stood in checkout lines the people in front of me were giving the cashier a ridiculously hard time about prices, receipts, change, etc. If it irritates me that much, I can only imagine what the poor cashier must be thinking! I tried to be extra nice to each one, you could tell their day was going to be hard enough!
Well, I'd better get my fully cooked, frozen, and processed meatloaf in the oven (its so tasty though!). I hope everyone's had a great day! Take care!

I am sorry to hear about Julies dog. Somthing like that is really hard.
Tell Roy Dad and I are really proud of him. We know he works really hard.
Cant wait to see you all on Sat. Love, Mom
I went shopping with Diane last Saturday and it was so busy it was hard to get around. Tell Roy we're proud of him, too. An A!!!!! Great! Have a good Wednesday!
Tell Roy I'm not surprised at his great grades. He's a smart fellow and he works hard. Congrats to him.
You should try getting around the clothes depts in a wheelchair if you think the food part is crowded! It's impossible! Aunt J
I detest and dread Christmas shopping 'cause, like you, I find the behavior of some of the other shoppers appalling. How can they behave like that? Where's their patience and their holiday spirit? I too try to be extra nice to the harried cashiers, especially this time of year. They need to see someone in line who will actually smile at them and speak in a friendly manner. I figure it's my job to do that and I like leaving a store knowing I brought perhaps a small ray of sunshine into their day.
Congrats to your Roy! An A! Good show!
I got a couple of Bear's gifts today plus one I got last week so I really should get them wrapped. He's out tonight so I have lots of time. I wonder if I have any paper... I wonder if I have any ambition... (I got groceries this morning :P)
Well, take care, Bobby! :)
