So happy Grandma and Grandpa made it back safely!!! Welcome back!!! Couldn't write anything yesterday. I woke up with a huge headache and it kept me out of commission all day! It didn't completely go away until about nine last night. I usually try to pick up the house and do laundry on Sundays and I was able to at least get our clothes and the bed stuff washed, but that was about it! I felt better today and job #2 was cancelled tonight so I made it home early! My hubby is taking a nap. His classes start on Thursday so he is trying to get on his night schedule. He usually goes in at four in the morning and works until about noon but his classes are all at night. If he doesn't switch his schedule he will be running around from four until nine at night when his classes get over with. On his night schedule he goes in around 11 at night and then he'll sleep most of the day. He doesn't like that as much but he doesn't have much of a choice once school starts.
I didn't have any visits scheduled for today so I got some paperwork done and I brought some more home. I had supervision in the morning and then went to lunch with Annie at Jerry's. Made phone calls and did more paperwork the rest of the day and was able to leave a little early. Not too bad for a Monday! I think I'm going to use the time to myself that I'll have when Roy's classes start to try to reorganize the house. We have lived here for over a year and I still haven't hung any pictures up and I want to reorganize a few other things as well to make it look more like people actually live here (j/k!). Is anyone else tired of the olympics already? I'm just not into sports that much so watching the olympics is death! I can't wait until they're over because the new seasons of LCS and Scrubs will start! Such a tv junkie!!! Can't think of anything else exciting to share right now so I'll sign off. Have a good night!

I too am a TV junkie. During regular season we keep 2 HDD-DVD recorders going each night as well as the programs we watch so it's a hectic TV schedule for us. We usually start watching recorded stuff while we're having our supper. It's a full time job just staying caught up but we don't do anything else for enjoying from Fall through Spring anyways.
I don't care much for Summer Olympics but I do enjoy the Winter ones. Guess I have to wait 2 more years for those. I'm just not a big sports person and neither is hubby, except our NNC races on the weekends.
Glad to hear your G&G made it back safely. I guess the conditions down there are just terrible, such devastation.
Well, have yourselves a good week. TTYL!

Hey Bobbie! Glad to hear Aunt Kathie and Uncle Virgil made it back - they've been on my mind these past few days. Ken's grandpa's new wife has a condo and car that were directly in the path around the Port Charlotte area but they were up here at the time so they have no idea what condition anything is in or even if she has a home there anymore. Not easy for near 90 year olds to cope with (nor their kids to cope with them).

Thanks for the laundry offer. :) I think we should be ok through this week and hopefully we'll have a new dryer installed by the weekend. If not, I bought some clothesline and pins to string up in the kitchen. I have GOT to do that nasty load of towels that have probably mildewed by now. (ugh)

That's horrible! I hope her condo and everything are alright, I can't imagine how scary that would be! At least they were safe up here!
Bonnie, Roy and I record shows constantly too! We've worn out several tapes recording our shows over and over again!

TV shows.....at night? What's that all about????? I know all about PBS, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, etc. during the day. Ha! I don't get to see much at night. I watch a little more in the winter. We try to be outside in the evenings since we're in the house most of the day. Justin usually has the TV on in the garage, but he usually has it on a ball game or poker tournament. Zack likes to go in his stroller - even if it's just up and down our sidewalk.

Constant recording? Yup! Wore out tapes? Yup! Wore out VCR's even! Now we have these two HDD-DVD recorders going. No tapes to wear out. Works like a computer, with hard drives. Each one holds 35 hours of recordings on the hard drive! It was the only way for us to go! LOL!
