How y'all doin'????????
Hello! Our internet is working at a decent speed today so I thought I'd get a quick blog out while I can! Hello from Tennessee!!!
So much has happened since the last time I blogged and I won't even try to write everything down :) Long story short, we are very much enjoying being here (except for the heat!). Have had a few adventures due to the vast amount of nature surrounding us including, but not limited to: Brian and Roy shooting a copperhead snake that popped up by our stairs, many MANY red wasps building nests on our deck, unlimited numbers of tiny (and actually very cute!) tree frogs sticking to the windows at night and singing us to sleep, etc. We are getting along well with Brian and Julie and the kids and although I miss everyone at home very much, we are happy we moved here!
Roy is working at a factory in town and I had a couple close leads on jobs but they didn't work out. Julie and I are going to start watching kiddos at home, we already have a few and if we can get at least three more it will be an adequate income for us. I have been able to make a couple trips to Illinois to see my family and I'll be going again soon to see my new nephew :) !!!!!! Can't wait!
Mine and Roy's anniversary was this week and to celebrate we went on a "date" last night to Taco Bell and to see a movie! Thank you to everyone who sent cards! Grandma, I tried to email you but I don't think it went through, I'll try again in the next few days so let me know if you aren't getting them :)
Mom and Dad's 25th anniversary party was a couple weeks ago. We had so much fun getting to see everyone and spend the weekend with my family! I'm glad Jeremy and Rachel and Shawn and Katie are still in the area so we can spend time with them as well. I miss them all like crazy!
Well, I need to go tend to some laundry and get groceries! I hope everyone is doing well and I have been keeping up on everyone's blogs as much as our dial-up will allow :) I miss you all and you're in my prayers! Take care of yourselves and God bless!!!

I'm so glad to see your blog! Your Mom called and told me about it because she thought I might not look for it. Hope your home business goes very well. God bless and take care!
Boy, did I start something when I (who said I would NEVER babysit) started my daycare 17 years ago. It is a good income, but the benefits are lousy!:) BUT, you don't have to buy clothes, drive to work (& with gas prices that's a plus) , you can go to the bathroom whenever you need to, (that was a big plus for me), and you can limit your kids if you want to. Just don't forget to ask Diane about insurance and stuff. I know it's different in different places about what homeowner's cover. Are you going to be licensed? Good luck! Hope to come down that way some day. Are there any good bed and breakfasts around? I heard there was a lodge at the state park, but so far I haven't found it. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Hugs, -Aunt Judy
Woohoo!!! Great to see your blog again! It was super seeing you two at your mom and dad's party.
I hope the babysitting works out for you. When do you expect to get your house?
So good to see your blog! Welcome back! :)
Good luck with the little business venture! Something tells me you could be very successful at child care. Good income, rewarding work, lousy benefits. Well, two out of three isn't too bad at all! hehe!
Glad you are liking it there in Tennessee. Hmm, I had to reread your blog to figure out how to spell that state.
Have fun with the snakes and wasps. I am a country girl myself and to me there is nothing more beautiful or more natural than living amongst the flora and fauna. Well, once you get used to it, of course. hehe!
Take care, Bobbie. I sure have missed you! :)
No one would have ever imagined me running a day care, either. On Sept. 21st, I will begin my 13th year in business. Yikes! Day Care has been very good to me, and got me through my "single" times without too much difficulty financially! Maybe someday Jesse, Emily, and Zack will appreciate that I was able to be home with them, too. That's my biggest benefit. But it is long hours and stressful! Maybe some day I will get back to financial work. I'd like to be a financial advisor. Now.....if someone could just tell me how to have lots of money to advise myself on!
Good to hear from you!!! Glad you guys are enjoying yourselves in Tennessee!! We successfully moved, and still working on the house!! Back to school! UGH!! but otherwise not much new here!! Take Care!!
Love,
Brenda
