10/23/2006!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my baby boy will apparantly be coming out on Monday! Went to the doctor this morning and, after examing me, he said that we could either let the pregnancy progress on its own for up to two more weeks, or I could choose to be induced. With out any hesitation at all I said I wanted to be induced! Not so much for physcial reasons as much as mental. I have had such anxiety sitting around waiting, freaking over every tightening and cramp. So, I feel much more at ease knowing a date and time! Also, we can prepare ourselves more, get plenty of sleep beforehand and tie up any loose ends. Plus, my parents will definitely be able to be here in plenty of time! Should work out perfect (of course there's always the chance he could decide to come beforehand :)

So, we will be arriving at the hospital at five o'clock on Sunday night. They'll insert a device to help prepare my uterus. Then, Monday morning my doctor will break my water and administer oxytocin (sp?) as needed. He said that Peyton should be born by noon! I am so happy that he left the decision up to me. Roy and I both feel much more relief and feel that we can actually prepare more (although I'm sure we'll never feel prepared enough!). Thank you all so much for your prayers!

Well, gotta go finish some laundry up. Hope everyone is having a good Thursday and staying warm (its chilly here!). Take care and God bless!!!

Very cold and rainy outside. But, I love it because I could stay home and set up fort on the couch all day :) I got a lot of cleaning done yesterday, so today I did a whole lot of nothing. Did manage to sort a few more of Peyton's clothes and do a little laundry. Also made some shake and bake chicken, green beans and au gratin potatoes for supper.

No baby yet! I'm very anxious for my appointment on Thursday, especially because my regular doctor will be back. I'm uncomfortable, but its not unbearable. Every now and then I'll have some cramping but no contractions yet. And, I get sharp little pains sometimes from his head rolling around on nerves in my pelvis. Other than that, I'm able to pretty much get around as usual, for which I'm thankful for.

Nothing else big going on so I'm returning to the couch! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Its Saturday and gorgeous outside! I'm so happy the weather has turned cooler. And yes Grandma, I did have to turn the heat on starting wednesday :) I usually turn it off in the morning until the sun goes down, but we have needed it at night. Hoping the leaves will change soon. They're starting too, but slowly. Last year they were pretty for such a short period of time because it got cold so fast.

Last night Roy came home a few hours early from work! So, we went out to visit with Julie and Brian for awhile. We're just taking it easy today, going to get groceries, make some homemade veggie/beef soup and relax. No baby news to report yet. He's still just chillin' out in there! Brian had today picked as his due date (he even saved the date and time in his computer months ago!), but I think he's going to be disappointed :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Take care and stay warm!

Lost night!

Does anyone else watch "Lost"? I love that show!!! This is the first time I've followed it on tv rather than renting the seasons. Kinda frustrating because they always leave on a cliffhanger.....but I watch it anyway :)

Got a little more accomplished today. Cleared some more storage junk out of Peyton's room, sorted some more of his clothes and got his storage cart put together. Also, cleaned the bathrooms, caught up on some laundry and made chicken and noodles for dinner. Felt good to actually DO something :)

I talked to my Mom for awhile tonight, I sure miss her and everyone else. I can't wait to see everyone! Well, not a whole lot else to write about tonight so I'm gonna sign off and wait for my husband to get home! Take care and have a great night!

Temporary housewife!

Hello!!! I'm officially done with work and can now just sit home and grow a baby!

This is my second week off of work and I'm lovin' it! I haven't accomplished as much around the house as I'd like, but its getting there :)
His room is coming together slowly, we have our bags packed for the hospital, and laundry is actually caught up most of the time so life is good!

Hopefully little man will come next week! My doctor has been out of town for a couple weeks, but he'll be back on Monday. The other doctor I saw yesterday said she thinks I should make it till he gets here. He is sitting very low, they have been able to feel his head during my exams for the past three weeks. Just waiting on everything else to finish thinning, moving and start contracting and we should be good to go!

Roy and I had a nice weekend together. My SIL Julie came by on Saturday and we went to a downtown festival in Hazel and looked at some antique stores. Later, we went to a movie with her and Brian. Sunday we rested, grilled out steaks and watched movies.

Well, time to return to my new best friend the couch :) Hope everyone is doing well, thank you very much to all for the birthday cards! Take care and have a great night!
