VEGAS TOMORROW BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot FREAKIN' believe that tomorrow's the big day! Kinda bittersweet, at the same time having the stress of my present job and the job search on my mind. Going to try very hard not to check my work voicemail while I'm on vacation! Kelly called me this evening, she and Annie are picking me up at 6:15 tomorrow! Yea!!!!

We've already talked about our plans immediately upon arriving in Vegas. Since we're arriving around noon, we'll try to check in although check-in isn't technically until 3:00. If our room isn't ready, we'll check our bags and hang out by the pool for awhile until we can get in :-)

Today has been spent cleaning up a few work things, finishing laundry, and making sure my baby is stocked up with everything he needs for his "bachelor week". Still have to replenish his ice tea supply, then he'll be good to go!!!! Getting ready to pack my suitcase and carry-on, shouldn't take too long 'cause I pretty much know exactly what I'm taking. And that should do it!!!

Talked to Mom and Dad for awhile, and Jeremy came over for a bit which was nice! We're watching the "Contender" now. Other than that nothing much happening, getting in some snuggle time before we're seperated for almost a week :( I'll return to Peoria around 10:00 Thursday night, then Friday morning Roy and I are heading to Tennessee to visit Julie and Brian! We'll return for good on Sunday :-)

VEGAS IS THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!!!!!

'Ello! Thank you everyone for your supportive comments and especially for your prayers :-) I'm trying not to stress and just trust that God will lead me where I'm supposed to go!

Haven't done too much today. Poor Roy is still hurting but its slowly getting better. We made some chili today after buying him his "bachelor supplies" for the week! I've been making him rest and we've been relaxing, watching tv today. Working on some laundry and got the kitchen clean. Tatum fell off of our back steps today. She always tries to leap from the steps into the house and there's a little bit of a gap. She missed today and fell, luckily not hurting herself but scared her and us to death!

Tomorrow I'll finalize the packing! Jeremy is going to stop over for awhile too! Well, can't think of much else to write for now so I'll sign off! Take care everyone! Nighty-night!

The big baby quit her job!!!!

Yep, still a little in shock.....but I quit my job this week. Still can't believe it myself, I even forget to tell people. Had a whole conversation with a couple of work people AND Kristi today and never even remembered to mention because I still don't believe it. I have NEVER done something so rash with any job. I just can't do it anymore. I'm working about 60 + hours a week (and getting paid for 40). If I'm not working I'm feeling guilty for not working or stressing about what still needs to get done. Its too much stress, I can't keep up on everything. Also, if this was a different job I would grit my teeth and keep on doing it until I found another job, but there is too much responsibility with this. If I don't do well, people don't get paid or kids don't get services....so if I'm feeling like I can't keep up with it, it would be irresponsible to stay. So, I'm officially on the job hunt! I gave a months notice and there are a couple jobs I'm looking into. Please keep it in your prayers!

Oh, BTW........LESS THAN 3 DAYS TILL VEGAS!!!!!!! Yea!!!! Not much planned for this weekend except getting some household stuff done before I leave. Roy's neck is still killing him :( . We were going to do something with Kristi and Ken, but with his neck hurting so bad he'd rather do it another time when he can enjoy being with everyone more. Talked to Mom for awhile tonight, made me miss everyone! We'll probably go down in a couple of weeks for Matthews birthday party.

Well, I'd better get back to the couch, TGIFriday potato skin chips, and "Smallville"! I hope everyone is keeping warm and having a good Friday! Nighty-night!

5 DAYS TILL VEGAS!!!!

Hee hee! Had some fun with Tatum and a crawfish a little bit ago :-) It rained here heavily for about a half an hour. When the rain stopped the back of our yard started flooding (as usual!). Roy noticed the BIGGEST freakin' crawfish either of us had ever seen. He pulled it up on the yard and we brought Tatum out to let her explore. She was very curious! Once she figured out that she's bigger than it was she kept nosing his pincers out of the way and biting at his legs! I didn't let her explore too long, I was worried she'd get pinched and I didn't want her to cripple it. She then had to pee on the spot it was sitting, and immediately following that ripped her collar off chasing a cat! She's so freaking quick, I can't catch her when she takes off! Ran right across the street behind the neighbors trailer. She knew she was in trouble though, when I ran over she came right to me. So, as her punishment she got a bath! :-) She smelled fishy from playing with the crawdad anyway!

So, that was our big exciting evening so far :-) We're contemplating watching "Bourne Supremacy" tonight, but Roy's going to have to go to bed soon. Talked to Mom and Dad for awhile and it sounds like their doing fine! I really need to get my butt in gear and get stuff ready for my trip! Still gotta get some snacks, film and other supplies, do laundry and pack! Been so busy trying to get everything taken care of with my kiddos this week, almost takes the joy out of vacation 'cause this week and the one following Vegas are going to be crazy!

7 DAYS TILL VEGAS!!!!!!

Oh yeah! Still having dreams about yellow cake! Had to make one with chocolate frosting yesterday :-) Survived Monday (somewhat). Had a late visit so I didn't get home till around seven. Nothing on tv 'cept "24" and we're taping that so we can watch it straight through when the season is over.
Gorgeous out again today. Tatum wants to be outside every minute! She finds spot in the house where the sun is shining through and basks in it :-) Yesterday was uneventful, we ran to wal-mart, long john silver's, and to rent some movies. Spent most of the day watching "Smallville" since we finally received it from blockbuster.

Exhausted at 9:20!

Long exhausting day, but a good one! Helped my baby at work this morning. Drove through McDonald's for breakfast then came on home. I had forgotton until the other day that Annie, Kelly and I had planned to go shopping for Vegas clothes today! So, after breakfast and straightening up the house, I got ready and met them to go to Peoria.

We spent most of the day at the mall. They were on a mission to hoochie me up since I wear nothing but jeans :) Found a skirt, some pants and a couple of tops to wear out in Vegas. It was a lot of fun, I was spent by the end of the day though! Big discovery however! While taking a break from the shopping we stopped at an ice cream place......they have "yellow cake batter" ice cream!!! It tastes JUST like yellow cake batter and has pieces of yellow cake in it! MMMMM!!! I'll be having dreams about it tonight!

Drug myself home after shopping, absolutely exhausted! Kristi and I have been trying to get together, but I knew Roy and I would be zombies tonight and they have plans for tomorrow so we're going to try for next weekend. Jeremy came over and spent the day with Roy since Rachel and the kids are at a goat show in Indiana. When I got home, they were grilling some steaks out for supper....first time we've grilled out this year and it was delicious! It was good to hang out with him for awhile too! After dinner we hung out for a bit then Jeremy headed home. Roy and I were in the process of getting ready to go watch "Amityville Horror", were about to head out to the car, and changed our minds! We're both tired, AND we finally got disc one of season 2 of "Smallville" in the mail today, so we'll snuggle and watch that tonight.

I missed getting to see my Mom, Grandma and Grandpa, and Emily today when they came up to visit Karla and family, but I just read Grandma's blog and it sounds like they had a good time. Well, time to get back to "Smallville". Hope everyone's having a great Saturday! Nighty-night!

Long time no write!!!

'Ello! Haven't written in awhile, been too busy and stressed out this week. On a good note, the weather is gorgeous today! Should be a nice weekend!

Roy's neck is hurting him pretty bad today. It gets out of whack a lot 'cause of his job, but this time its worse than usual. I've got him propped up on the couch and stuffed a muscle relaxer down 'em. Hopefully he'll get to feeling better, last time it was hurting like this he was out of commission for a few days :(

Well, not too much else to write about. Gonna go clean up the kitchen and relax on the couch with my baby! Nighty-night!

TWO WEEKS TILL VEGAS!!!!!!!!!

Can't freakin' wait! Anyhoo, floated through Monday. Was feeling pretty tired and spacy all day. Combination of Monday depression and a little bit of a head cold. Did get to to to Karla's! Got to visit with Grandma for awhile and snuggle with Graham :-) Karla seemed pretty tired, but they all are doing fine! Grandma is up to help them out for a couple of days and I know they really appreciate it!

Had some KFC for supper and spent the rest of the evening hanging out with my hubby. Nothing is coming to mind worthy of writing down so I'm going to sign off ;) Hope everyone survived their Monday's! Take care and God bless!!

Beautiful day! For a Sunday, we have accomplished a lot! Started AGAIN on some laundry this morning (after sleeping in!). Roy was wanting to get the lawn mowed, so he trotted off to get some gas for the mower and then got to it. While he was mowing, I cleaned the inside of my car. Since I basically live in it through the week it was getting pretty nasty. After that Roy started pruning some tree branches that were banging the side of the house. He got one tree, then hoisted me on top of our shed and I got some of those suckers. Picked up and bagged the branches, after that we were pretty much done! It was nice being outside today, even if we were doing work ;)

Ran through the car wash, blockbuster, and Dairy Queen afterwards (chili dogs and cookie dough blizzard.........mmmmm!). We're now relaxing and watching "Sideways"....Blockbuster finally had it today. Just gotta stalk them at times ;)

Pobre Tatum.....she's so worn out from watching us work this afternoon! I kept her outside with us, and she spent the time either hiding or barking. She's got issues. She loved being in the sun though.....does this little half sitting/laying deal and closes her eyes relaxing.

Lovin' the lazy Saturday!!! Haven't had a Saturday to ourselves in a few weeks (not that we didn't greatly enjoy being busy, but its nice to be home!!!). We ran to Wally World to get some groceries, to blockbuster to get some movies ("Sideways" was out dag nabbit!), and got a KFC twister for lunch before heading home. At Wal-Mart we were trying to buy some stamps in the stamp machine, and it ATE our five dollars! Stupid machine >:( Anyhoo, ever since then we've been hanging at home!

I've been catching up on laundry and housework today. Also cleaned the coffee pot out with some vinager. Made some soup starter chicken noodle soup (been craving it since Mom and Dad said they had it!), croissants, and green beans with bacon for dinner. Roy was teasing me by saying I need to cook like this for him more often so he can fatten up. I told him to get a fabulous job so that I don't have to work and I'll make him dinner every night! LOL! I love cooking but I'm so freakin' beat during the week so its easy dinner city! It has been nice to catch up on things at home. Now all I have left to do is give my bratty dog a bath and make some brownies. Exciting day huh?

Been watching "The Shield", rented a bunch of different seasons today. Also got the first season of "ER" and "Band of Brothers". That will occupy the rest of our night and most of our day tomorrow! Well, better stop rambling ;) Hope everyone's having a great night!

Hmmm.........thought my blog didn't post last night, wasn't there this morning, and when I checked just now it was there!!! Crazy mixed up world ;)

Busy day today, TGI Freaking F!!!!!! So glad for the weekend! No plans either, just going to relax for the first time in what seems like ages! Called to check on Karla today, she seems to be doing great as does little Graham! She's very tired (not like she just gave BIRTH to someone yesterday ;). I'm going to get the stuff to make an eclair cake to take over to Karla. I'll probably wait till Monday, give them some time to get settled at home. I know they're going to have some company over this weekend too. Grandma is coming up on Sunday, it'll be nice to visit with her some while she's up too.

Graham Andrew is here!!!!!

Congrats Karla and Mark!!!! Graham Alexander was born this afternoon! He is healthy and gorgeous! Has a head full of dark hair and is doing very well :-) Karla seems to be doing great too! She seemed tired but in a lot less pain than last time. I hope she can get some rest tonight!

I headed over to the hospital after my last appointment this afternoon. Grandma & Grandpa, and Kristi & Ken were already there. Kristi took some pictures with her digital camera so see her blog later for a look at the new little :-) The nurses were getting ready to give him a bath while we were there, so we all headed into Karla's room and visited with her for awhile. I left soon after Graham was brought into the room (after snuggling for a minute!), he was sleepy and so was Karla. Grandma and Granpa went to IHOP with Mark and Chandler, I drove through Wendy's to get some dinner for me and MY baby and headed home.

Not doing too much tonight. Watched Survivor and Apprentice, getting ready to throw a movie in and rest on the couch! Night all!

Oh yeah! Got pulled over on the way to Danville! Annie and I were heading down for our staff meeting when I saw the pretty lights shining behind me. The officer came over and asked if I knew I was speeding. Such a trick question, of course I knew.....had a meeting to get too, and I had to pee! But, I played dumb. He said he clocked me at 74 (I had clocked myself at about eighty, but thought I'd keep that to myself). He was very nice though, he didn't even pretend like he was going to give me a ticket! He didn't ask for insurance, just my license and said if all checked out he would just give me a written. He was almost joking about it! Not that I'm griping :)! So, I gots my written warning and was on my way, much more slowly of course!

Danville day.........boo!!!! Thinking I need a new job, I know I'm always whining about this one and I am grateful for it, don't know if my body can take the stress of it for too much longer. If I'm meant to have another one, God will open a window, if not I'm supposed to stay with it. So, we'll just wait and see!!!

Very excited for tomorrow 'cause I'm awaiting the call that Karla is delivering a healthy baby boy! I sure hope everything goes okay, please keep her in your prayers. I'll probably run over and see Grandma and Grandpa tomorrow. They're coming up to help her out while she recovers.

Met at the Gill street bar & grill, had never been there before and its pretty nice! Got home around seven, didn't feel like making anything for supper so just been snacking on munchie stuff (had some cheeseballs at the bar too, not as good as the Pub II, but pretty darn close!). 3 WEEKS TILL VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talked to Annie this morning and we realized that in THREE weeks we'll be in Las Vegas! WOO HOO!!!!

Slowly getting back to the regular routine. The time change seems to have thrown me off more than I thought it would! Got some paperwork and phone calls done today, had lunch with Annie, Pam, and Kelly and then off to Spice and my last appointment.

When I was driving home from my final appointment, I was almost to my house when I saw that our road was completely blocked off and there was no way through!!! I could not get to my house! They were moving a trailor into a lot and it took up the entire road. Now, I could have parked my car on another street and walked home, but no. I was tired, in a bad mood from working and just had an "adult" tantrum. ;) I sped out of the park and drove to Taco Bell. I figured by the time I got back with dinner they'd be gone and they were. Grrr though!!! GRRR!!!

Talked to Karla today and she's very anxious for the new little to be born! She was having contractions, but they were still sporatic so she wasn't off to the hospital yet. So excited! I also dropped off my first set of pictures to be developed today! They were mostly of the ceremony itself, all of my reception pictures are on another roll. Also had a couple of pictures from my girl's graduation. Brought back memories of this weekend and made me happy! Shawn and Katie look great in all the photos!

Tired and happy!!!!

Had a blast this weekend, exhausted but I couldn't have asked for a better weekend :) We headed out Friday morning, couple of stops at the gas station and bank and we were on our way!
Entered total wedding chaos at Mom and Dad's ;) Everyone was scrambling to get ready to get to the church. The wedding was very nice! They had planned on getting married in the courthouse, but at the last minute were able to be married in the church. Very simple but beautiful ceremony! I cried a little, watching my baby brother say his vows but I held it together better than I thought I would! Katie looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress! After the ceremony and pictures we all headed off to Tuscany's. They had a buffet laid out for us, my first time eating at Tuscany's and it was awesome!!! They had the best ham I think I've ever tasted, fried chicken, salad, pasta, green beans and mashed potatoes. Also had some kick butt breadsticks! We all ate and ate :) Katie's Dad has an abcessed wisdom tooth and he was in quite a bit of pain, so he wasn't able to conversate as much. He suprised us all however and paid for dinner! We were all planning on buying our own, it was very generous of him! After eating we sent Shawn and Katie off on their honeymoon! Mom, Dad, Jeremy and family and Roy and I all headed back to the house and hung out the rest of the evening.
I forgot to mention! When we arrived on Friday Katie pulled me aside and whispered that they found out the sex of the baby and its a BOY!!! She had told Jeremy too but waited to tell her parents and Mom and Dad until the reception (Mom was going a little crazy for awhile trying to find out, ha!!!). He is healthy and everything looks good!!! They are thinking about Jacob Scott for his name :)
Saturday we slowly got up and ready, after a big pancake breakfast! Dad, Roy and Jeremy spent some time working on the cars, Mom and I got some groceries and made some food for the next day. My friend Brenda suprised me and stopped by for a visit! It was so great to see her!!! She brought pictures of the house that she and her husband are buying and we just sat for a few hours chatting. I loved getting to visit with her for awhile, been ages since we've been able to catch up!!!
Today we woke up rushing around getting ready for the reception. It went very well! The place looked really nice and it seemed like everyone had a good time. It was great seeing some family that I haven't seen in awhile! My Aunt Debbie and Uncle Rick, Grandma Jean, Grandma and Grandpa, Kristi and Ken, Aunt Judy and Uncle Larry, Kerry and Kaelyn, and Diane and family all came! So much fun! During the dollar dance both Ken and Jeremy danced with Shawn, hope my pictures of all that comes out ;) Zack danced and danced, it was so cute! It was nice to visit with everyone and I know Shawn and Katie were thrilled that so many people came. Helped clean up a little and then went back to Mom and Dad's to pack up. Shawn and Katie were starting on their present pile when we left Mom and Dad's and when I called a little while ago they had everything opened and were very happy with their gifts :) Gave our hugs goodbye and headed home :( Sad to see such a nice weekend end. We ran through Garcia's in Champaign so we warmed that up for supper when we got back.
