Happy anniversary Kristi and Ken!!!

I hope you guys are having a great one!!! Did you do anything special?

Monday is over! Woo hoo!!! I can NOT believe its been snowing out! The wind gets to me more than the snow! Too cold!

We had a great weekend with Julie and Brian and kids. They got here around eleven friday night. The kids went right to sleep and we stayed up until four in the morning talking. Tatum liked playing with their new puppy. It was so cute, a lot fiestier than their last dog, Tatum wasn't sure what to do with him for awhile! Saturday we got up and Roy made some biscuits and gravy for breakfast. When we were done we drove to Brian's parents house in Peoria. We had never met them before and they're really nice. They just moved to Peoria from Louisville and hadn't even had a chance to unpack yet. We visited with them and then came back and watched movies the rest of the night. After a big bacon and egg breakfast they left around one yesterday :( After they left Roy took a nap to get back on his night schedule (I ended up napping a little too while watching the Wedding Singer). He got up and we watched the Oscar's together, depressed that the work week is starting again! Hopefully it'll go by quickly.

Not much else going on right now. I might dye my hair tonight, bought a lighter brown this time and I'm a little nervous about how it'll take to my hair. We'll see, its been about every color under the rainbow anyway :) I hope everyone's having a great night, take care!

Almost the weekend!!! This week has flown by in spite of everything. I've been very busy lately, different places around town have all been doing developmental screenings, and as a result I've been getting a TON of referrals! This week hasn't been as busy as the last though so I've been able to catch up on some things.

Julie and Brian and the kids are coming up tomorrow!!!! So excited! I went grocery shopping today since we have hardly any food in the house that's not microwavable ;) I'm going to start some Italian beef before I leave for Danville in the morning and I'll make some twice baked potatoes to go with that. I also made some croutons for salads and Roy's in charge of breakfast, so I really shouldn't have to cook too much :) I know we're going to order out from Niro's one night (Brian has been craving them and its hard to find a good one in their area of Tennessee ;) I've been washing blankets and cleaning all evening so I won't be in a rush tomorrow.

Today has actually been fairly laid back. I got some paperwork done early this morning then made my stop to print and fax. I had one meeting after that, then Pam and I had lunch at Chevy's. Since Roy won't be going to Vegas with me, Pam is contemplating going as my date for the wedding. I hope she does, its going to be a blast! After that I got the oil changed, and fought my way through Wal-Mart. Roy was a sweetie and got subway for us for dinner.

Well, I gots to go to bed. Hope everyone's having a good night!

Made it through Monday! Today wasn't too bad 'cept I woke up feeling like my body had been beaten! I can't shake this cold feeling, not sick enough to stay home but just enough to feel disabled all day :( Can't wait till spring!

Got a nice surprise yesterday! Shawn called me early afternoon and said that he and Katie wanted to come up and visit! I was so excited, I started cleaning the house and ordering the pizza and they were here in no time! Jeremy came too (Rachel and the kids were sick) and we sat around eating Monical's and showing Katie pictures of Shawn when he was a kid (he was thrilled with that!). Awesome surprise and I had a great time with them. After they left Roy and I drove through Steak & Shake for milkshakes (coffee mocha with hot fudge....mmmm!) then came home and settled in front of the tv.

Today has felt like a dream. Its really getting to the point where I need to get my work junk organized desperately. I have three piles strewn around the house. BTW, using the word "piles' loosely, more like mountains! But, this week doesn't look too busy as of now so hopefully I'll have time to get it organized.

Well, nothing else coming to mind to share so I'll sign off! Good night!

We have had a really good lazy, relaxing weekend! Friday night we went out to watch "Constantine" (which was really good!). Saturday we slept in and made a huge beef and noodles dinner and just ate ourselves stupid, watching tv. Then, we later went to see "The Aviator" which was also very good! I'm glad we got to see it because I think this is the last weekend its playing. Roy and I and one other couple were the only ones in the whole theatre! Today we slept in again and are just relaxing. I need to get some stuff ready for work tomorrow, other than that not too much happening!
I talked to Mom last night and she said that Shawn and Katie got to hear their baby's heartbeat this week. Very exciting! New babies everywhere! Just talked to Karla, I can't believe she's due so soon! She is due in April (I hope its not when I'll be in Vegas!).
I need to light a couple of candles, my house smells like burnt pop tarts! Is that a sign of a great cook? I'm going to sign off for now, hope everyone had a great weekend!

4 hours till friday!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait for the weekend!!! We're going to be lazy and not leave the house :) Today hasn't been too bad other than physically I'm still feeling kinda puny. Watched the new Survivor (what'd ya think Bonnie?) tonight and now we're watching the Apprentice! Made a big spaghetti dinner so I'm not sure how much longer I'll be up tonight since I stuffed myself stupid!

Very cold out! Jeez, get a couple of nice days dangeled in front of us and we forget its February still! Well, I'm not paying attention to what I'm writing with the Apprentice on in the background so I'll sign off! Have a great night all!

Well, the week is ALMOST half over :) The next couple of days should go by quickly as I have lots of appointments :/ Got some good news yesterday, Julie and Brian and the kiddos are coming up next weekend. So excited! Haven't seen them in quite a while!

Feeling icky today, combination of stress, the weather, and my body telling me to settle down! I'm fighting it though! Can't afford to be sick this week! I just talked to Mom and Dad and they said that Shawn is feeling better. Hopefully we can all hang in there till the weather gets nicer! I was going to go visit Jeremy for awhile tonight but I'm feeling to puny. I'm getting ready to find something to eat and wrap up in a blanket on the couch!

I let Tatum have one of her rubber toys for about five minutes until she almost knocked over a candle with it. She shakes it so violently and ends up knocking things off of high shelves! Crazy. Well, I hope everyone enjoyed the weather today and are keeping warm tonight! Take care!

Well, the weekend is wrapping up (boo!!!!). I really, really, REALLY am not ready to start the work week again. If its anything like the last I just don't want to deal with it. But, God doesn't give us any more than we can handle and He'll get me through :)

We've had a very nice, rainy day. We slept in and then went to watch the 1:00 showing of Hitch. It was definitely worth watching although I think they could have done some different things to make it more funny. But, it was very good. We came home and began watching Ray, AWESOME movie! Loved it! Nothing else really worth writing about today since we've been so lazy :) I hope everyone had a great Sunday! Take care!

Long time no see! Very busy, stressful, stressful week. Had a great day today though! We went down to see Mom and Dad, Shawn and Katie and also got to see Grandma and Grandpa! The weather was gorgeous and we grilled out hamburgers and they were delicious! Mom and Dad showed us pictures from their Arizona trip. They had this really cool one taken with their fellow travelers at Tombstone. Mom and the rest of the girls dressed up in these bustier/dress outfits with feather hats and the guys wore cowboy gear and held shotguns. It was taken like a vintage photo from that time period. Its pretty cool! I liked hearing the stories from their trip, sounds like they had a blast! Grandma & Grandpa and Shawn & Katie arrived after we ate. We sat around drinking coffee and chatting for awhile. We soon left after everyone else did and just got home about an hour ago.

No plans for tomorrow so far. I have to get some stuff done for work and we might go see "Hitch". Aside from that we'll just enjoy being lazy! I am so thankful for the weekend, more so it seems this time than I have been for awhile. I'm going to sign off now so we can get to some movie watchin! Have a great night all!

Sunday, February 06, 2005

Hey there! I love Sundays! We have some dinner in the crock pot, snacks in the freezer, Jeremy and Rachel are coming over in awhile to watch the Superbowl and my laundry is almost done! Lots to be thankful for!
Yesterday went by to fast. Roy and I did some grocery shopping, took Tatum to the vet and then I stopped by Pam's to tell her and Amy Happy Birthday! When I got home we ordered gyros from Boo boo's and watched the Forgotten (good movie!). We had ordered the first two discs of the Band of Brothers series, but the first disc was messing up so we didn't watch them. Very relaxing night! And, I got to talk to Grandma for awhile which was nice!
Tatum's vet visit was fun as usual :/ We have to take her every six months or so to (warning: gross) get her anal glands squeezed. We know its time 'cause she'll scoot around the house on her butt. It looks funny! We hadn't taken her to the vet since the last procedure, she weighs ten pounds and they said she looks healthy! The vet said she growled when she put her on the scale but I was holding her and didn't hear it. Poor baby, she just laid her head on me while they were "squeezing" her. I can tell she feels a lot better.
I talked to Mom yesterday, they landed safely and when I talked to her they were driving to Uncle Jeff's house. I called Shawn to check on him today. He still sounds sick but he says he feels better. He was getting ready to go to work so I didn't keep him on the phone too long. Well, I'd better go get a couple more things ready before Jeremy and Rachel get here. Hope everyone's having a great Sunday! Take care!

VEGAS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I just talked to Mom and she and Dad made it to Indiana safely. They are leaving for Arizona in the morning! Mom said they'll call when they get there tomorrow! I hope they have a great time, they'll be there until Wednesday (?).

Speaking of trips, Annie, Kelli and I bought our Vegas tickets on Wednesday! We're leaving at the end of April, can't believe its coming up so soon! Other than that the week has been pretty uneventful. I've just been really busy with work. Not much planned for tomorrow. My friend Pam's birthday is today and I'm going to stop by and see her for awhile. Shawn is really sick and I want to go see him but we just can't tomorrow and I know he has to work all day anyway. Hope he feels better!

Well, I'm spacing out 'cause I'm so tired! I hope everyone's having a good night (Kristi and Bonnie, have a great weekend with your hubby's!!!! Drive carefully!).
